Iberzoo + Propet 2026: Ready to launch a new edition with record‑breaking numbers

The companion animal industry will gather once again at IFEMA MADRID from 11 to 13 March for Iberzoo Propet, one of the leading commercial platforms in southern Europe. This year’s edition reaches record figures, with more than 300 exhibiting companies and nearly 1,200 brands, reflecting the strength of a sector that in 2025 generated 36.681 billion euros, equivalent to 2.3% of Spain’s GDP, and more than 400,000 direct and indirect jobs, according to AMVAC.

Market growth is driven by an expanding pet population, led by dogs (9.3 million), followed by fish and aquarium animals (7.8 million), cats (5.8 million) and small mammals. Veterindustria highlights the sector’s strong investment in R&D&I, which represents 18% of total turnover and is carried out across 28 technology centres, enabling the development of safe, effective veterinary medicines and nutritional products.

AEDPAC will present its third Barometer of Habits and Trends, as well as the first Pet‑Friendly Barometer in Spain 2026. Both AMVAC and AEDPAC will share their reports during La Tarde de Iberzoo Propet. The event also benefits from the support of the sector’s main associations, consolidating its position as the industry’s leading commercial showcase.
