Kemin advances its pet food safety knowledge series with a new webinar on raw material management

Kemin’s Raising the Standards of Pet Food Safety webinar series continues with a new session dedicated to understanding how early raw material degradation and rendering practices influence the safety and quality of pet food. The second episode, titled “Beyond Raw Materials: How Early Degradation and Rendering Practices Shape Safety and Quality”, will explore why many of the most critical risks emerge long before the thermal process begins.

The session will examine how factors such as early spoilage dynamics, delays in processing and operational practices can compromise both microbiological safety and product quality. Particular attention will be given to the role of raw material management in strengthening Salmonella control and why a holistic, root‑cause approach is essential for improving rendering outcomes.

The webinar will be led by Cristina Murcia, PhD, Senior Technical Service Manager at Kemin Pet Food & Rendering EMEA, who will provide scientific insights and practical recommendations for manufacturers and rendering operators seeking to enhance their safety standards.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, from 3:00 to 3:50 PM (CET), followed by a live Q&A session.
