Gosbi , the family-run company specialising in mindful nutrition for dogs and cats, has launched Gosbits Pillows, its first range of cat treats, designed to turn treat-giving into an opportunity for play and bonding. The launch marks the expansion of Gosbits, its brand of functional treats and indulgences, into the feline segment and signals the company’s entry into the cat treat and snack market.

Gosbi is expanding its presence into a segment that is performing particularly well within the pet food market. In Spain, the cat food sector saw its turnover increase by 12.2 per cent in 2025, reaching 1,039 million euros, according to data from ANFAAC. Within this category, cat snacks grew by 26.7 per cent in value, reaching 95 million, and by 14.1 per cent in volume. By comparison, dog snacks increased by just 1.3 per cent in value over the same period. Furthermore, the potential market continues to expand: Spain is now home to 4.94 million cats, according to the 2025 Census by ANFAAC and Veterindustria.
Five new products expand the Gosbits range
Gosbits Pillows are launched on the market with five recipes and a concept based on a combination of flavour, texture and variety. The new cat treats are made with ingredients of animal origin to enhance palatability and feature a dual texture – crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside – designed to make the experience more appealing for the cat. The range includes different combinations of flavours and plant- or fruit-based ingredients, with the aim of catering to different preferences and offering variety across the different products.
This launch enables Gosbi to extend the Gosbits brand – which until now has focused on other functional snacks and treats for dogs – into the feline segment, thereby expanding its presence in a high-growth category. This new product forms part of the company’s strategy to diversify its portfolio, for both dogs and cats, whilst maintaining its range of natural, steam-cooked food as one of its main areas of innovation – a market pioneer for offering recipes of high nutritional value that do not require refrigeration. With Gosbits Pillows, Gosbi is now expanding this offering and also entering the cat treat and reward market.

A format that broadens the range of uses
In addition to its sensory appeal, Gosbits Pillows incorporates an interactive element. Its format allows the treat to be offered directly, but also to be hidden, thrown or rolled, introducing small elements of search, discovery and chase, thereby broadening the ways in which the product can be used.
In a context where an international survey puts the proportion of cat owners who regularly engage in interactive play with their cats using toys such as feather wands at 47 per cent, Gosbi aims to turn the moment of reward into an additional opportunity for interaction between the cat and its owner, linked to curiosity, exploration and play, and to expand the opportunities for interaction.
Isaac Parés, founder and CEO of Gosbi, comments:
‘With Gosbits Pillows, we are taking another step forward in the development of the Gosbits brand and entering the cat treat segment for the first time with a product tailored to the characteristics of this category. It is a market that is developing very positively, and one in which we believe there is still scope for product innovation – in terms of texture, variety and the ways in which it can encourage interaction. At Gosbi, we want to turn an everyday moment, such as giving a treat, into a new opportunity to spark a cat’s curiosity, encourage interaction and spend time together.”
