Feed Design Lab is opening its doors once again for its full‑day Introduction Day on Petfood Production, an immersive programme designed for professionals and newcomers who want to understand how modern dry pet food is made. The training offers a complete overview of the production chain, combining accessible explanations with hands‑on experience inside the organisation’s pilot‑scale plant.
Throughout the day, participants explore the key stages of pet food manufacturing, including raw material selection, grinding, mixing, extrusion, drying and coating. The programme also covers the functional role of ingredients, process parameters and the impact of each step on the quality of the final kibble. Live demonstrations inside the pilot plant allow attendees to see industrial equipment in action and gain practical insights into how production decisions influence product performance.
In addition to the technical content, the Introduction Day provides opportunities for discussion and networking, creating a space for participants to exchange experiences and deepen their understanding of the sector. With its combination of theory, practice and real‑time demonstrations, the programme offers a clear and structured introduction to the fundamentals of pet food production.
The session will take place on 29 May, from 10:00 to 16:00.
