Tebrio renews its B Corp certification

Tebrio, a Spanish biotechnology company based in Salamanca and a pioneer in the integral use of Tenebrio molitor, has renewed its B Corp certification with a score of 96.1, eleven points higher than in 2022. With this achievement, the company reaffirms its commitment to a sustainable production model that strengthens European sovereignty in raw materials and contributes to the development of a resilient bioeconomy.

The recertification highlights Tebrio’s progress in responsible governance, circular economy practices and rural development, areas in which B Lab has recognized significant improvement. The company is currently building :oFarm, its new 100,000 m² industrial facility, which will expand its capacity to transform agricultural by-products into protein, fats, biofertilizers and chitosan for sectors such as animal nutrition, regenerative agriculture, cosmetics and green biotechnology.

Adriana Casillas, CEO and co-founder, emphasizes that this milestone “confirms that Tebrio grows with transparency, equity and purpose, generating positive and lasting impact.” The company maintains a strong commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, the reduction of its environmental footprint, the promotion of qualified rural employment and the integration of JEDI principles (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) across its operations.
