New volume in the Insects as Food and Feed series

Research on insects for food and animal nutrition continues to expand rapidly, increasingly intersecting with disciplines such as genetics, microbiology, nutrition and environmental science. To support this scientific growth, a new volume in the Series of Insects as Food and Feed has been released under the title Practical Guidelines and Research Methods on Insects for Food and Feed.

Edited by David Deruytter and Teun Veldkamp, the book provides a clear and practical methodological framework designed to strengthen the quality, efficiency and reproducibility of research involving insects. It covers key aspects such as experimental design, standardised procedures and reporting criteria, offering guidance that helps researchers avoid common pitfalls and make better use of time and resources.

The publication is available in two formats:

  • E‑Book (PDF) – ISBN: 978‑90‑04‑76079‑0 – Published on 30 March 2026
  • Hardback – ISBN: 978‑90‑04‑76078‑3 – Published on 7 May 2026

With its applied, cross‑disciplinary approach, this volume becomes a valuable reference for research teams and technical professionals seeking to enhance methodological consistency in a sector experiencing significant scientific and industrial momentum.
