Bühler presents pet and aqua feed workshop

Bühler has opened registration for its Pet Food and Aqua Feed Workshop, a five‑day technical programme running from 23–27 March 2026 at the company’s Extrusion Application Centre in Uzwil, Switzerland. Designed for production managers, technologists, process engineers and quality specialists, the workshop offers a practical route into the core principles of extrusion processing for pet food and aquafeed.

The course brings together expert instruction, hands‑on trials and real‑time process evaluation, giving participants a clear view of how formulation, equipment settings and raw‑material behaviour interact during extrusion. Sessions cover preconditioning, moisture and energy management, screw and die configuration, and the operational differences between single‑ and twin‑screw systems.

Throughout the week, attendees will work directly with Bühler’s pilot‑scale lines, observing live production runs and assessing how process adjustments influence product structure, density and overall quality. Demonstrations span a range of applications, from micro‑feeds for aquaculture to shaped pet treats, helping participants translate technical concepts into practical decisions on the factory floor.

This workshop offers a strong opportunity for professionals looking to deepen their understanding of extrusion and improve performance in pet food and aquafeed manufacturing.
