BeneMeat Webinar on cultivated meat in pet food

The role that cultivated meat could play in specialised pet nutrition will be the focus of BeneMeat’s forthcoming webinar, taking place on 24 June 2026. The session forms part of the Beyond the Hype series and will address the scientific, technical and commercial developments shaping this emerging ingredient category.

As the sector moves beyond trends such as “natural” or human‑grade, growth is shifting towards precision nutrition and highly specialised diets. This transition is driving demand for differentiated proteins with clear functional properties and well‑defined safety profiles.

The webinar will examine the fundamental characteristics of cultivated meat and how it compares with conventional and alternative proteins, drawing on available safety and feeding studies. It will also outline the product concepts that are technically feasible today and how these ingredients could be incorporated into premium and specialised nutrition strategies. In addition, insights from the Try & Share Programme will provide first‑hand information on acceptance among pet owners.

Aimed at pet food manufacturers, retailers and innovation teams, the session seeks to clarify where cultivated meat can add value and which commercial opportunities may emerge in the coming years.
