KatKin shares its vision on how AI can humanise customer experience

This week, the KatKin team took part in Customer Experience Live UK, where industry leaders gathered to discuss one of the most pressing questions facing businesses today: how to use artificial intelligence to create more human customer experiences – not less.

KatKin outlined a clear position: AI should never replace people. Instead, it should free teams to focus on what humans do best — listening, empathising and resolving with judgement.

🟩 KatKin’s principles for AI in CX

  • Customer first — Technology is never the starting point. Design begins with the customer journey and a clear understanding of what people genuinely need.
  • Clear ownership — AI cannot be “everyone’s project”. A defined owner must oversee the journey, set success criteria and ensure AI performs at least as well as the experience customers already expect.
  • Test, learn, iterate — AI doesn’t improve in a boardroom. It improves by listening to real customers, launching thoughtfully and iterating quickly based on feedback.

🟩 Beyond efficiency

KatKin emphasised that the greatest opportunity is not simply making support more efficient, but enabling CX teams to dedicate more time to conversations that genuinely require empathy, expertise and a human touch.

The session brought together professionals who shared insights and real‑world experiences, highlighting that the industry is only beginning to explore the potential of AI‑enabled customer experiences.
