Hill’s launches new k/d + sensitivities diets

Hill’s Pet Nutrition has introduced two new innovations within its Prescription Diet therapeutic range: k/d + Derm Complete for dogs and k/d + z/d Hydrolysed for cats, formulated to support both renal function and digestive or skin sensitivities. Both products are now available through veterinary recommendation.

These new recipes combine the clinically proven benefits of k/d nutrition with targeted solutions for sensitivities, offering veterinarians and pet owners an option that addresses multiple health needs without compromise. They feature ActivBiome+ Kidney Defence, a prebiotic fibre blend designed to activate the gut microbiome and help reduce harmful waste products.

According to Dr Chelsie Estey, US Chief Veterinary Officer at Hill’s, many patients present overlapping conditions that do not fall neatly into a single category, and these formulas expand the nutritional tools available to veterinary teams.

Available in both dry and wet formats, the diets include reduced phosphorus and sodium, omega‑3 fatty acids, high‑quality protein and essential amino acids. Hill’s also highlights that it offers the only wet option among leading North American therapeutic brands that supports both kidney health and sensitivities.

With these launches, Hill’s reinforces its commitment to science‑led veterinary nutrition and to providing solutions for increasingly complex clinical cases.
