Honkajoki Group releases Its 2025 Sustainability Report, reinforcing its role in the pet food industry

Honkajoki Group has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, bringing together the company’s key progress, commitments and impacts across environmental responsibility, social practices and good governance. For the pet food industry — where Honkajoki is a strategic supplier of high‑quality animal‑derived ingredients — the report stands as a strong example of transparency and of how sustainability can be embedded throughout the value chain.

Among the most notable achievements, the company prepared a new environmental policy and carried out climate and water risk assessments. Emissions to air and water remained below the limits set in its environmental permits, demonstrating consistent operational performance. Honkajoki also advanced in energy efficiency through investments in steam production and the installation of an electric boiler in cooperation with its energy partners.

From a governance perspective, the company updated both its Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct, and achieved a Silver rating in its first EcoVadis assessment — a recognition that underscores its commitment to responsible business practices.
