Forza10 and BeneMeat launch the first cultivated‑meat wet food for dogs

The pet food sector marks a major milestone with the launch of Coolty Meat, the world’s first complete wet food for dogs made with cultivated meat. Developed by Italian manufacturer Forza10 in partnership with Czech cultivated‑meat company BeneMeat, the product will reach the market in summer 2026 and represents a significant step towards more sustainable and controlled protein sources.

Coolty Meat contains 26% cultivated meat free from antibiotics, hormones and preservatives, combined with plant‑based ingredients such as carrots, peas, pea protein, linseed oil, brewers’ yeast, sunflower oil, apple fibre and inulin. With 8% crude protein, the formulation is designed to be highly digestible and particularly suitable for dogs with food intolerances, as it uses cells from small rodents (murids) as a novel protein rather than conventional chicken or beef.

According to BeneMeat, cultivated meat allows precise control over quality, composition and safety, while drastically reducing the environmental impact associated with traditional livestock. Recent LCA models suggest its carbon footprint could be up to 95% lower than beef.

Palatability tests show acceptance from around 90% of dogs, rising to 100% over time. For experts in sustainable nutrition, this innovation could accelerate the shift towards more ethical protein models with reduced reliance on animal slaughter.
