ADM and Hill’s Pet Nutrition have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices across key corn and soybean sourcing regions in the United States and Europe. The multi‑year initiative will support approximately 16,000 acres of farmland in Illinois and Minnesota, along with a pilot programme covering 2,500 acres of soybeans in Hungary, a crucial origin for ADM’s European supply chain.
The collaboration aims to strengthen soil health, reduce carbon intensity, limit erosion, improve water quality and enhance biodiversity, ultimately reinforcing long‑term farm resilience. Participating farmers will receive financial incentives linked to the implementation of regenerative practices—such as fertiliser‑efficiency programmes, cover crops and companion cropping—as well as to measurable environmental outcomes.
ADM will provide technical support, field‑level education, data collection and impact verification through its network of agronomic and implementation partners. According to the company, the initiative responds to growing consumer demand for sustainably sourced ingredients within the pet food value chain.
Hill’s emphasises that its science‑led approach to pet nutrition begins with the quality and origin of its ingredients. By investing in regenerative agriculture, the company seeks to safeguard the long‑term availability of high‑quality grains such as corn and soy, which are foundational to its formulations.
