Pet Food Association of Canada launches webinar on pet food manufacturing

The Pet Food Association of Canada has announced a new Career Opportunities Webinar for the coming 23 and 24 April, aimed at professionals and students interested in gaining first‑hand insight into the world of pet food manufacturing.

The event will offer a realistic view of day‑to‑day work in the industry, guided by three professionals with very different career paths. Attendees will hear from an entrepreneur who will explain how to turn a personal passion into a pet food manufacturing business, from the first steps to the challenges of running a company. A regulatory affairs specialist will also take part, outlining how safety, compliance, and correct labelling are ensured for products intended for dogs and cats. Finally, a nutritionist will discuss the most practical aspects of formulation.

The webinar is aimed at students and professionals in biology, food science and technology, agriculture, chemistry, or veterinary studies. It will be an opportunity for a wide range of technical profiles, with an emphasis on the foundations of professional development.
