Handtmann Processing has received two prestigious Red Dot Design Awards 2026, honoring both the company’s new design language in the Industrial Design category and its visionary future project Morpheus.
The new Handtmann design language consistently combines brand identity with tangible value in industrial production environments, positioning design as a true performance factor. It stands for maximum functionality, seamless integration, and a clear, progressive design language. The brand values “premium. smart. connective.” are reflected throughout the entire product portfolio, making them visible and tangible while strengthening differentiation in an increasingly competitive global market. With Morpheus, the international jury also recognized a forward-looking development project that presents a vision for data-driven, integrated food processing. Combining modern system architectures, intelligent connectivity, and industrial practicality in one holistic concept, the project demonstrates the innovation potential of future production solutions. “Receiving two Red Dot Design Awards confirms our approach to actively shaping the future of food processing. These awards reflect our forward-looking mindset and our ability to combine technological innovation with strategic direction. At a time when automation and digitalization are fundamentally transforming our industry, innovation capability and future readiness are key success factors,” says Harald Suchanka, CEO of Handtmann Processing.
The Morpheus future project was honored as a groundbreaking development concept that opens new perspectives for food processing. From the technology platform encompassing safety, drive, and control technology to software, communication, and industrial design, key technologies were brought together in a fully integrated end-to-end system. “The future belongs not to the companies with the most ideas, but to those that make the right decisions early. With Morpheus, we are creating a framework for understanding tomorrow’s customer needs and translating those insights into innovations that deliver real value. Advanced technologies, intelligent system architectures, and industrial applicability form the core of our innovation strategy,” explains CTO Dr. Mark Betzold.
The Red Dot Design Award for the new Handtmann Industrial Design recognizes not only its design quality, but above all the tangible benefits it delivers in real production environments. The award-winning design is based on a modular system architecture that can be scaled from individual machines to fully integrated production lines. An intuitive operating concept, consistent hygienic design, and visually guided process workflows help reduce complexity, increase process reliability, and improve overall production efficiency. “These two Awards are a testament to the outstanding engineering expertise, development capabilities, and interdisciplinary collaboration of our teams. They also reflect our passion and execution strength, as well as our ability to transform complex technological requirements into practical solutions and high-performance production processes,” emphasizes Martin Staudenrausch, Vice President Global Technology.
With the awards, Handtmann Processing reinforces its commitment to identifying technological developments and future customer needs at an early stage, deriving forward-looking innovation strategies from these insights, and bringing together design, technology, and functional excellence in holistic solutions for the food processing industry.
