During Clinica Veterinaria 2026, held on 5 June in Sremska Kamenica, Serbia, clinical nutrition specialist Marina Velebit shared new data on targeted nutritional support for dogs and cats during post‑surgical recovery and convalescence. Her presentation highlighted the outcomes achieved with the Craftia Galena Recovery & Convalescence Care Diet, formulated to meet the increased metabolic demands characteristic of clinical recovery, particularly in oncology patients.
Velebit reported that 33% of oncological patients included in the study achieved complete nutritional recovery after receiving this specialised diet, underscoring the relevance of incorporating evidence‑based nutritional interventions within a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach. She emphasised the importance of developing innovative nutritional solutions that effectively bridge scientific knowledge with clinical practice, from initial formulation design to measurable improvements in real patients.
The full study will be published in September 2026, providing additional data for the veterinary and scientific community. Velebit expressed her appreciation to the veterinarians, researchers and collaborators involved in the project, as well as to all attendees who contributed to the scientific discussion.
