On 17 June, Ukrainska Pravda hosted the UP100: Business Awards ceremony, marking the 20th anniversary of Ekonomichna Pravda. The list of nominees highlights leaders of Ukrainian companies that are driving economic growth, creating jobs, and strengthening global confidence in Ukraine.
Among the nominees were Rostyslav Vovk and Olena Vovk, co‑founders of Kormotech, Ukraine’s largest producer of cat and dog nutrition, and Enzym Group, a biotechnology company specialising in yeast‑based solutions.
This recognition reflects how a family‑owned business can evolve into a global enterprise when built on strong values, courage, responsibility, and teams united by a shared purpose.
The companies were originally founded by Orest Vovk, whose belief in people, new opportunities, and the future of Ukrainian entrepreneurship laid the groundwork for their development. Today, he would undoubtedly be proud to see how both organisations have grown, transformed, and expanded far beyond their initial ambitions.
The award itself carries special symbolism: a glass Olbian dolphin, crafted by renowned Ukrainian artisan Taras Dzyndra using the only traditional glassblowing furnace of its kind in Ukraine. The Olbian dolphin references the ancient city of Olbia, once a key trading hub in what is now modern Ukraine.
The symbol represents movement, entrepreneurship, openness to the world, and the continuity of Ukraine’s economic history — from ancient trade routes to modern companies that operate globally and represent the country on the international stage.
We thank Ekonomichna Pravda and Ukrainska Pravda for highlighting Ukrainian businesses and the people who work every day to strengthen our country.
And thank you to every member of the Kormotech and Enzym teams — this recognition belongs to all of you.
