The 2026 edition of Insects to Feed the World (IFW) came to a close in Turin after bringing together more than 600 participants from 55 countries, reaffirming its position as the leading international forum for research and industry in the field of insects for food and animal feed. The Organising Secretariat expressed its satisfaction with the outcome of the congress and thanked speakers, participants, sponsors, exhibitors and partners for their contribution.
It was an especially significant week for the European sector, as IFW took place back‑to‑back with the IPIFF General Assembly, which gathered members, new associates and strategic representatives from other regions. Together, both events highlighted the dynamism of the industry, the strength of international cooperation and the progress being made in innovation, sustainability and circular‑economy practices.
Throughout IFW, the scientific and industrial community shared the latest developments in production, applications, safety, regulation and emerging business models based on insects. The active participation of IPIFF members in several sessions further strengthened the connection between science, industry and policy.
The Secretariat extended its warm thanks to all attendees, emphasising that their engagement was essential to the success of the event.
