JBT Marel and Aurum Process Technology announce strategic partnership

JBT Marel has entered into an exclusive cooperation with Aurum Process Technology, integrating Aurum’s specialised expertise in aseptic processing with particulates and aseptic filling in flexible packaging into JBT Marel’s global food technology portfolio. The partnership represents a significant expansion of JBT Marel’s end‑to‑end capabilities in the rapidly growing ready meal and premium wet pet food categories.

According to JBT Marel, global demand for high‑quality, shelf‑stable convenience foods continues to rise across both human food and pet food markets. By combining Aurum’s know‑how in plant‑based drinks, sauces, ready meals and pet food with JBT Marel’s integrated systems, the collaboration will enable producers to access complete solutions—from raw material preparation to final flexible packaging—while supporting greater efficiency, flexibility and sustainability.

Aurum Process Technology emphasised that the partnership will help manufacturers adapt to fast‑changing consumer expectations and maintain the highest standards of safety, nutrition and texture. JBT Marel added that the cooperation strengthens its unified pet food strategy, complementing the capabilities of Wenger and Extru‑Tech and enhancing its portfolio with an additional specialised product line.

Both companies showcased their technologies at Interzoo 2026, highlighting their shared commitment to advancing innovation in premium pet food production and supporting the evolving needs of global producers.
