IBERPET returns to Madrid bringing together key players from the pet industry

The fair will hold its next edition from 10 to 12 March at IFEMA MADRID and will bring together leading companies, professionals and organisations from the pet sector

Madrid, 9 September 2026.—IBERPET, the International Trade Fair for Pet Industry Professionals organised by IFEMA MADRID, is now accepting bookings for its next edition, which will take place from 10 to 12 March 2027. The event is launching its new phase under the brand IBERPET, the new name for Iberzoo Propet, in line with the evolution of an industry that is expanding its economic, business and professional scope year on year.

With the support of the Madrid Association of Companion Animal Veterinarians (AMVAC) and the Spanish Association of Industry and Commerce in the Companion Animal Sector (AEDPAC), as well as backing from the sector’s leading organisations, including AEVET, ANFAAC, CEVE, Fundación Vet+i and Veterindustria, IBERPET once again enjoys the support of the most representative organisations in the pet sector.

The strength of the industry underpins this growth. In Spain, the petcare market is worth over 3,000 million euros and generates more than 46,900 direct jobs and 356,000 indirect jobs. Added to this is a growing number of pets in households and an ever-increasing demand for specialised products and services, factors that continue to drive innovation and the development of new business opportunities.

A growing market, an opportunity for businesses

Having brought together 302 exhibiting companies, 1,200 brands and over 21,000 trade visitors from 80 countries at its last edition, IBERPET will offer manufacturers, distributors, specialist retailers, veterinary professionals and service providers a platform to showcase new products, expand their network of contacts and generate new business opportunities.

With this commitment to continuous improvement, the 2027 edition will launch a new International Invited Buyers Programme, designed to facilitate direct contact between exhibitors and professionals with purchasing power from different markets. This initiative aims to boost business generation, encourage the opening up of new markets and expand the event’s international reach.

The programme will be complemented by an extensive programme of activities focused on knowledge, innovation and professional exchange. Highlights include the 9th IBERPET FORUM, organised by AEDPAC; the presentation of sector-specific studies and market analyses; specialised spaces such as the IBERPET Classroom; dog grooming demonstrations; professional networking events; and the presentation of awards for innovation in the sector.

Furthermore, the event’s co-location with VetMadrid, the annual congress organised by AMVAC, will once again attract thousands of veterinary professionals to Madrid whilst the event is taking place, reinforcing the fair’s appeal for laboratories, companies specialising in nutrition, equipment, technology and specialised services linked to animal health and welfare.

Consequently, the 2027 edition, taking place from 10 to 12 March at IFEMA MADRID, will consolidate the new IBERPET brand—an evolution of Iberzoo Propet—which reflects the growth experienced by the fair and the transformation currently taking place in the pet market. Companies interested in taking part in this event can now apply to participate via the official IBERPET website and join an event that will bring together business, innovation, knowledge and the sector’s key trends over three days for industry professionals.
