Partner in Pet Food’s PETS strategy incorporates a new corporate sustainability framework

Partner in Pet Food has updated its PETS sustainability strategy, incorporating a more integrated framework between corporate objectives and the operational criteria applied in its plants and production lines. The review consolidates advanced indicators of environmental performance, energy efficiency and resource optimisation, with a special focus on the traceability of raw materials, the management of by-products and the reduction of impacts associated with thermal and logistical processes.

The new approach reinforces the alignment between sustainability, technological innovation and industrial planning, integrating metrics that allow for the evaluation of consistency between formulation, sourcing and environmental footprint. The strategy also incorporates continuous evaluation criteria for suppliers and internal processes, to ensure that sustainability standards remain consistent throughout the value chain.

The update has been developed with cross-functional participation from technical, engineering, quality and product development teams, with the aim of ensuring that sustainability commitments translate into verifiable operational decisions and measurable improvements.
